How It All Started

Photography has been part of my life for years, long before I found my way to proposals. While working my regular job, I went to photography school, photographed pretty much everyone around me, and eventually started photographing couples and weddings.

Then life shifted in the best kind of way. I became a mom, and my family and I spent years traveling and exploring different parts of the world. Photography stayed with me through all of it - sometimes as work, but always as something I genuinely loved.

Years later, photography found its way back into the center of my life. A friend asked me to secretly capture the moment he proposed to his girlfriend. Not long after, they asked me to photograph their elopement too - and somewhere between those two intimate, emotional days, something clicked for me.

For the past four years, San Diego has been home, and photographing proposals has become the heart of what I do. I think what I love most about proposals is how real they are. You can plan every detail, but you can’t plan the reaction - the shaky hands, the laughter, the tears, or the way you look at each other right after.

Those little in-between moments are usually the ones I remember most. They’re what made me want to focus on proposals, and they’re still what I look for every time I pick up my camera. I want your photos to bring you back not only to what the moment looked like, but to exactly how it felt.
